Yellow Bike Central Station
De Ruijterkade 34b · open daily 09:00–20:00
Our Central Station location is inside the station hall itself, on the IJ side. If you’re arriving by train, ferry from Amsterdam North, or coming in from Schiphol, this is the fastest pickup in the city. You can be on a bike within a couple of minutes of stepping off the platform. It’s also our longest-opening location, so it’s the easiest choice if you want to keep your bike out into the evening.
From here you’re immediately on the cycle paths along the IJ and just a few minutes from the canal ring, the red-light district and Nieuwmarkt.

Yellow Bike De Kolk
Nieuwezijds Kolk 29 · open daily 09:00–17:30
Our De Kolk location is a 3-minute walk north of Dam Square, tucked into the old city centre right next to the Nieuwezijds Kolk tram stop.
It’s the better pickup if you’re already in town, closer to most centre hotels, quieter than the station, and the moment you step out the door you’re in the heart of historic Amsterdam.
From De Kolk you’re four minutes from the Nine Streets, five from the Anne Frank House, and you’ll be cycling through the Jordaan within minutes.
Not sure which to pick?
Choose Central Station if you’re arriving by train, want the longest opening hours, or are travelling with luggage. Choose De Kolk if you’re already in the centre, staying nearby, or prefer a quieter, less hectic pickup. Both locations rent the same fleet at the same prices.

You can rent a bike for as little as 1 hour. Pick it up in the morning and return before closing time on the same day and you pay €16.50. Staying in Amsterdam for a few days? Our 3-day deal lets you keep the bike for 72 hours. Pick up Friday afternoon, return Monday morning.

Deposit
We handle the deposit at the counter:
- €20 per bike by mobile payment app, refunded when you return the bike. Apple Pay, credit card, iDeal and similar methods are all accepted.
- Prefer to leave a cash deposit? That’s possible too: €75 per bike, in cash. There’s an ATM nearby.
- No ID required. You don’t need to leave a passport or other document with us.

Prefer some pedal assist? At our De Kolk location you can also rent an e-bike in Amsterdam, from €19 for 3 hours.
Theft & damage insurance (optional)
All bikes come with an AXA lock. For every two bikes you also get an extra ABUS chain lock. Insurance is €2 if you return the bike the same day, or €3.95 per 24 hours.
Cost in case of theft:
- Without insurance: €300
- With insurance: €60, provided you hand in both keys and a police report. Otherwise €300.
