What our customers say

We did the 6 hour windmills and cheese tour to Zaanse Schans. David was our guide and he was amazing. We got to see so much country side with just the right amount of breaks to have a drink and get some photos. Highly recommend.

Where do our bike tours start?

All our guided bike tours depart from Yellow Bike De Kolk — Nieuwezijds Kolk 29, a 5-minute walk from Amsterdam Central Station and near the Dam Square.

Located on one of the oldest inhabited squares in the city, our shop is where you’ll meet your guide and the rest of your small group before setting off.

Want to keep exploring on your own after the tour? You can rent a bike at De Kolk or at our second location, Yellow Bike Station, inside Amsterdam Central Station (De Ruijterkade 34b) – with a discount after a booked tour.

Bike tours for every group

Our guided bike tours work for a wide range of visitors.

Couples and solo travellers join our daily group tours (max. 12 people) to meet other travellers.

Families with children often choose the 2-hour Amsterdam Highlights tour for its relaxed pace.

For team outings, school groups and bachelor parties, we organise private bike tours and team outings – including lunch, canal cruise add-ons, or a stop at a traditional Dutch café.

Why choose our guided bike tours?

Being a family business allows us to maintain a personal touch in everything we do. Whether you join a private tour or hop on one of our group tours, where you’ll meet other travel enthusiasts and experience Amsterdam in an intimate, engaging way. Our tours ride in small groups of up to 12 people, ensuring a friendly, safe ride during which you can easily interact with our guides and fellow participants.

Interesting fact: Yellow Bike was the first company to organise guided bike tours in Amsterdam, starting as early as 1990.

A Personalised Tour Experience

We get happy from offering a fun, personal experience. And as the first founded bike tour company in Amsterdam, we have a rich history and deep connection to the city.

Located on the oldest inhabited square in Amsterdam, in a monumental building, we blend historical charm with a passion for storytelling. Even our yellow bikes are a bit cult among locals, many of which grew up with our bikes as a part of the streets.

Commitment to Sustainability and Community

Each year, we’re expanding and renewing our tour offerings to highlight more than just the traditional sights. Our new tours focus on the social aspects of the city, promoting inclusivity and sustainability.

We aim to contribute to a more liveable city, both for residents and visitors. By collaborating with Amsterdam & Partners, organising small-scale neighbourhood events, and working with local artists, we support the local community. On Friday evenings, we host a free bike repair club where fellow bike enthusiasts can learn basic bike repairs with guidance from our staff and tools from our workshop. And obviously, we follow sustainable practices such as charging e-bikes with locally produced green energy.

A Mission to Make a Difference

Our newest bike tours are designed to spread visitors across the city and showcasing diverse neighborhoods other than the historical city centre. We include stories of diversity and sustainability, encouraging visitors to travel in a way that positively impacts the city.

If you’re passionate about these values too, we recommend to book a guided bike tour such as North Amsterdam or the Countryside Bike Tour, and join this positive adventure with us.

Join us at Yellow Bike and see why we’re not just another tour company. Discover the true essence of Amsterdam with us!
